| Considerations
White is the most popular exterior color. It
also has the highest light reflective value (LRV) which makes it a good choice in warmer
locales.
Grays and earth tones (such as Light Stone)
are the next most popular exterior colors.
Colors look lighter outside than inside.
Acknowledge any adjacent non-painted surfaces,
such as stucco or brick, and select colors that enhance rather than detract. Give
consideration to surrounding terrain, regional and historical influences.
Tone on tone building and trim colors are
replacing once popular light body, dark trim combinations. A favorite is Polar White
panels with Ash Gray trim.
Dark colors fade faster than light colors.
The paint system used forTurn key roofing and
wall panels comes with a 25 year limited warranty.
Galvalume® steel sheets combine the excellent
barrier corrosion protection of aluminum with the galvanic protection of zinc. The result
is a coating that lasts longer and provides cutting edge protection along sheared edges.
This cut-edge protection means there is less rust staining along sheared edges and at
scratches. Galvalume® is chosen as the roofing material in most cases, especially when
the roof has less than a 3:12 pitch.
